Sept 1st to 29th Changelog
Lots of good changes in there. Any questions? :)
A quick tweak to order/chaos today: The system now calculates the # of active players on either side and uses that ratio to adjust points rewarded, capped at a range of 0.5 to 2.0x.
In other words, with the current stacking on the Chaos side, chaos will receive half (*0.5) the points they normally would.
Order, on the other hand, will receive double (*2.0).
These multipliers will be viewable in the Change Guild Type gump. Hopefully this is a first step in evening out the sides and resurrecting PVP.
Got this one by searching for “damage increase” (without the quotes)… it doesn’t HAVE damage increase… you have to quote stuff to get specific phrases. Initial version won’t have it, but eventually this’ll need an attribute search builder…
Search results for “powder.” The gump could use some work. Not seen here: The actual “view” gump you’ll get by clicking OK (there wasn’t a good “view” button, sadly).
Not quite a change log, but here’s progress on some of the major aspects of the next update:
It’s not quite working yet, but I’m closing in on it: Containers that can be opened anywhere in the world, from multiple locations, by multiple players at the same time. This will be the framework for cross-account vaults, guild vaults, stuff like that. Cross-account vaults, the test case for the technology, are 90% working. That means that as the system stands, once I fix the last bug (I expect to do so by lunch tomorrow), you will be able to open your account vault on one character, open it on another character in another city at the same time, and drop something in and see it dropped from the other side.
I know, your eyes are glazing over, but to RunUO developers this is awesome stuff.
Once that’s good to go, it should be about time for the first major publish of dev month. I’ll see about posting a preliminary change log here tomorrow.
A reminder, the dev drive is only paid up (at the moment) until the 19th. I really want to get everything I have planned in, but that’s just not going to cut it. Don’t make me triage cool features, pretty please?
Rewards from the new account quests. Hopefully not so bad as to harm the LRC market, but good enough to be special to new players. Without the set bonuses they’re just 15% LRC pieces. Undecided on making them newbied.
